Leading to inspire ... magical gift or practical process?

The National Standards for Principals 2011 proposed that principals, as leading educational professionals in a school, must inspire students, staff and members of the community to continuously enhance learning. Inspiration is said to occur through the key leadership aspect of vision and values. Meanwhile, the role of principal has swelled to include a staggering array of professional tasks and competencies (e.g instructional leaders, disciplinarians, community builders, etc). Although educational leaders are compelled to be inspiring, little attention has been paid to the process by which leaders inspire others in a time hungry environment.

The 1 day workshop is built on Glenn’s research into leading to inspire others and delves into insights gleaned from the findings to benefit aspiring and current leaders in the education sector. You will explore processes and strategies that leaders use to inspire others and facilitate inspirational moments. The topic is uplifting and the workshop is facilitated in a fun and practical way. You will engage with practical tools to build a portfolio of ideas and strategies to enable you to aim higher, by aiming to inspire through intellectual, personal and relational leadership!
