Helping Teachers Be The Best They Can Be

Venue: Brisbane - Broncos Leagues Club, 98 Fulcher Road, Red Hill Qld 4059.

School leaders play a vital role in maximizing student outcomes. Our focus needs to be helping each teacher to be the very best teacher they can be. School audits have highlighted the need for many schools to establish better processes for providing feedback to teachers. However giving teacher’s feedback is not part of the culture in most schools. Changing that culture will inevitably lead to anxiety, barriers and resistance. The joint statement by DET and the QTU, “Collegial Engagement in Classrooms” commits to a professional approach to school improvement by supporting teachers to improve pedagogical practice and student learning outcomes.

This program is especially designed for the leadership team and key members of staff to develop an action plan specifically for your school. In this workshop, experienced Queensland Principal Steve Francis will help your leadership team develop an effective feedback process and an action plan for implementation so that feedback to teachers becomes part of your school’s culture.
