School audits have highlighted the need for many schools to establish better processes for providing feedback to teachers. However giving teachers feedback is not part of the culture in most schools. The joint statement by DET and the QTU, “Collegial Engagement in Classrooms” commits to a professional approach to school improvements by supporting teachers to improve pedagogical practice and student learning outcomes.
In this workshop, you will develop an effective feedback process and an action plan for implementation so that feedback to teachers becomes part of your school’s culture. You will:
Establishing a Feedback Culture is a HUGE challenge, but it has ENORMOUS potential to have a very positive effect on student learning and staff satisfaction.
This will be a practical day. You will be provided with a workbook, a framework and time to work with colleagues on the particular challenges you face in your school.
