2012 LEADERSHIP GRANT

Established by QASSP in 2010, the Leadership Grant aims to give an active QASSP member the opportunity to undertake educational research or to attend an International Conference.

The research topic and/or the conference chosen by the successful recipient must reflect the QASSP Purpose and Objectives:

  • QASSP’s Purpose is to support, develop and strengthen educational leadership capabilities to improve educational outcomes for state school students in Queensland.
  • QASSP’s Objectives are:
    • Leadership – To provide high quality professional development opportunities for state school leaders.
    • Service – A service oriented association focused on member wellbeing.
    • Advocacy – National and international reputation as a peak agency for promoting, supporting and developing excellent school leadership.
    • Operations - A governance structure that supports transparent decision-making and communication with sustainable financial capabilities.

 

The recipient’s responsibilities are to:

  • Contribute an article to The Queensland Principal journal.
  • Report to a Management Committee meeting in February 2013.
  • Report to State Council in April 2013.
  • Be prepared to present at State Conference in June 2013 if appropriate.

 

The 2012 Leadership Grant valued up to $10,000 will be presented at the 2012 Combined Queensland Principals’ Association State Conference to be held in Brisbane on 7 and 8 June. The Leadership Grant could be shared and is open to:

  • active QASSP branch members;
  • active Sub-Committee members;
  • Management Committee members;
  • Those in a position strategic to the Association.
